Increase/improve equitable access to mental and behavioral health services including substance use, for socially vulnerable populations.

Sample Key Performance Indicators:

• Number of certified Mental Health First Aid Trainers increases.
• Number of people completing Mental Health First Aid training increases.

Goal 2

Reduce suicide attempts and deaths in the Northland through coordinated trauma-informed and evidence-based prevention initiatives.

Sample Key Performance Indicators:

• Suicide rates in highest incidence group (teenagers, young adults, 45-65 yrs) decreases
• Suicide rates due to firearms decreases
• Suicide attempts decrease as measured by ESSENCE/syndromic surveillance data

Goal 3

Significantly reduce substance use and overdose deaths in socially vulnerable Northland populations, through trauma-informed and evidence-based prevention initiatives.

Sample Key Performance Indicators:

• Number of overdose deaths due to opioids decreases (2022 baseline=X)
• Number of Naloxone kits distributed increases (2020 baseline=141)
• Increase in number of MAT/Suboxone authorized prescribers
